Description
This project is a clinical study to evaluate the use of lung ultrasound in diagnosis of dyspnea in dogs and cats. The aim of this study is to evaluate a protocol for performing a bedside thoracic ultrasound in dogs and cats presenting to the emergency room for respiratory distress. Respiratory distress is a common presenting complaint in veterinary emergency rooms, and can occur for a variety of reasons. The cardiology section is participating in a multi-center clinical trial evaluating a medical therapy for congestive heart failure in dogs.
