Kim Kempfer, DVM
Dr. Kimberly Kempfer is the proud founder of Feline Wellness Center. Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and raised in Toledo, Ohio, she has firm ties to the Midwest. Dr. Kempfer graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. After moving around a bit between Michigan and Illinois, she settled in Chicago and spent 4-1/2 years working at City Cat Doctor where she found her niche. At present, Dr. Kempfer is working on her Masters Degree in Business Administration, and in her spare time, enjoys spending time with her cats and singing with the International Championship Melodeers Chorus.

John J Hanover, DVM • Debra Rykoff, DVM
John J Hanover, DVM and Debra Rykoff, DVM are the most recent owners of Hanover Animal Wellness Center. Dr. John J. Hanover has been in private practice helping pets and pet owners for more than a decade. Dr Debra Rykoff has taken care of dogs, cats, horses, and animals of all kinds for more than 17 years. Their advanced training in veterinary homeopathy, veterinary acupuncture, applied kinesiology (animal chiropractic certified), herbal therapy, essential oil therapy, Reiki, and many other cutting-edge disciplines translates to better, more modern veterinary medications and care for your pet. They each are busy their own clinics in Barrington and Gurnee but will continue to serve clients at FWC on a part-time basis for the foreseeable future.

John R. Hanover, DVM
John R Hanover graduated from Michigan State University in 1968 and worked full-time at Hanover Animal Hospital until 1989 when he opened Animal Hospital of Gurnee. Along with being a past president of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, he has held other varying positions in the CVMA, Illinois State VMA, and American VMA. He resides in Bristol, Wisconsin and is married with three sons, three grandchildren, and various dogs, cats, horses, sheep, ducks, and chickens.

Pat Martin, DVM
Dr. Pat Martin has been in small animal practice since 1968. Since 2000, along with her great experience and knowledge, she started offering alternative treatments such as Chinese herbs and acupuncture, which she finds particularly helpful in geriatric pets.
